Making Children Successful
in Life and School
The countdown to summer camp is on! ↑↑↑ See above! ↑↑↑ Here are Rockport Early Childhood Center, we are unique in the fact that we specialize in an younger Summer Camp; having children ages five to seven years only! This includes children getting ready to enter Kindergarten in the fall, as well as current Kindergarteners and First Graders. Our Summer Camp teachers specialize in this age group. Ms. Jennifer specializes in the children entering Kindergarten in the fall, Ms. Alison specializes in Kindergarteners, and Ms. Lynne specializes in First Graders. This dynamic trio of teachers allows for optimal integration of multi-age activities that are developmentally appropriate for each age group.
Our true focus is on continuing to help the children develop a sense of self, community, and the world around them. One way we approach this is through field trips. We have a rather promising list of field trips that the children will be attending this year. These field trips include swimming and water play at the Fairview Gemini Center weekly, walking to Morley Park and Linden Park, the Lake Erie Nature & Science Center Planetarium, Artist for a Day, the Cleveland Museum of Natural History, the Children's Museum, and much more. We will be visited by Capt'n Willie, Pony Tales Farm, and Soccer Shots.
We look forward to making this our best summer yet, and hope that your children will be able to join us!
